THE ROLE OF THE PARENT COMMUNITY IN PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION OF PRESCHOOL INSTITUTIONS

Abstract

The role of the parent community in the state and public management of preschool education institutions is analyzed in the article. Public administration of education is considered as a department where there is coordinated interaction between the state and the community in solving the issues of functioning the preschool institution.
The pedagogical council is a collegial permanent body of preschool education. The presence of parents in the pedagogical council helps to resolve issues in favour of the child. Directions and forms of work of the board of trustees are the improvement of the organization of nutrition of pupils, holding of mass sports, social, cultural and educational events.
The Nutrition Council is formed in order to control the work of the food unit and to organize a full, high-quality nutrition for children.
Parent committees (councils) of a preschool educational institution promote the introduction of state and public education management. Committees are voluntary bodies of public self-government, established on the basis of the unity of interests of parents in the realization of the rights and responsibilities of their children in the organization of their lives.
The state standard of preschool education in Ukraine provides for the direct and steady participation of parents in the development of children’s competencies of the appropriate age. The standard insists on the organization of constant interaction between the preschool institution and the family in various spheres of communication, development and upbringing of children.
The image of the preschool depends on many factors, including the personal contribution of parents who are members of the Board and the activity of the Parent Community of all ages, the Pedagogical Council, the General Meeting of Parents and staff.
Parents should pay special attention to health-preserving competence, strengthening vital functions, values of a healthy lifestyle, the formation of spiritual and national values.
