FEATURES OF THE TRAINING OF KINDERGARTEN TEACHERS IN UKRAINE FOR CHILDREN’S ACQUAINTANCE WITH NATURE IN CONDITIONS OF POSTGRADUATE EDUCATION: HISTORY AND TODAY

Abstract

The article is devoted to the determination of the peculiarities of the training of kindergarten teachers for children’s acquaintance with nature in the conditions of postgraduate education in Ukraine from the 50s of the 20th century to the present day.
The main directions of work on children’s acquaintance with nature since the 50s of the 20th century and, accordingly, the training of Ukrainian educators to ensure quality preschool education according to the guidelines of state policy, have been identified and characterized.
The content of articles in pedagogical press of different periods of time has been analyzed in order to identify methodical recommendations for the organization of the educational process by teachers with children of different age groups. It has been found out that during the first seminars at the beginning of the 20th century on methods of children’s acquaintance with nature, it was recommended to involve such specialists as agronomists, biology teachers, teachers of pedagogical institutes and schools. It has been emphasized that the content of training varied depending on the educational programs that kindergartens worked on since the 50s, and in the period of the 21st century, such requirements were defined by the State Standard of Preschool Education of Ukraine. To ensure high-quality acquisition of knowledge by educators, during theoretical and practical classes on children’s acquaintance with nature, issues necessary for the organization of high-quality educational work, taking into account the requirements of each historical period considered by us, have been represented.
The professional development of educators on the issues of children’s acquaintance with nature at the current stage of Ukraine’s development takes place during advanced training courses, theoretical and practical seminars and thematic webinars.
It has been concluded that the training of educators on this topic was always aimed at mastering theoretical and practical skills, declared in state documents that regulated the activities of kindergartens in Ukraine and determined the main requirements for the development of children in the field of science education in each historical period.
