PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT OF MODERN MANAGERS OF INSTITUTIONS OF GENERAL SECONDARY EDUCATION IN CONDITIONS OF GLOBALIZATION

Abstract

This article studies the professional development of modern heads of institutions of general secondary education in conditions of globalization processes in accordance with the modern requirements of the educational field. It is clear that the world trends in the functioning of postgraduate education of teachers, including school principals. It was established that in the context of global socio-economic changes, heads of institutions of general secondary education are key figures in ensuring the quality education of the younger generation. The importance of professional development of heads of institutions of general secondary education to ensure the quality of school education is considered. The analysis of the requirements for professional training and the level of development of competencies of school principals was carried out during which it was found out that in Ukraine for a candidate for the post of school director, the presence of special management education is not fixed at the legislative level, which is compensated by the opportunity to deepen management knowledge in postgraduate education or to get education in educational management at the master's level of higher education in the specialty (073) Management. The issue of quality provision of educational institutions by trained educational managers can successfully and effectively perform managerial functions in the context of global changes in society, which is solved by the means of their postgraduate education. It is substantiated that the approved professional standard "Head (Director) of a general secondary education institution" determines the need for the development and improvement of professional competencies among the directors of schools, which implies the need for constant search and implementation of modern and relevant forms and methods of their professional development. The directions of professional development of the head of the institution of general secondary education in the system of modern postgraduate pedagogical education are outlined.
