TEACHING TECHNOLOGIES IN PHARMACEUTICAL EDUCATION IN HIGHER EDUCATION INSTITUTIONS OF UKRAINE (LATE 20TH – THE FIRST QUARTER OF THE 21ST CENTURY)
Abstract
The article analyzes the transformation processes in the pharmaceutical higher education of Ukraine in the context of educational reforms and socio-political changes during the late 20th and early 21st centuries. The evolution of teaching technologies used in training future pharmacists is comprehensively examined. Particular attention is given to the introduction and development of interactive teaching methods, information and communication technologies, dual education models, distance learning, and simulation-based training. The influence of European integration and the Bologna Process on the modernization of curricula, the organization of practical training, and the development of professional competencies is explored. The research highlights key innovations aimed at personalizing the educational process, enhancing student autonomy, and ensuring practice-oriented learning. The integration of digital tools, such as online platforms, webinars, virtual laboratories, and simulation centers, is shown to play a significant role in improving the effectiveness of pharmaceutical education. Furthermore, the article identifies key challenges, such as regulatory inconsistencies, gaps in digital literacy among faculty and students, and unequal access to resources. The study emphasizes the need for continued innovation, quality assurance, and alignment of educational standards with those of the European Higher Education Area. The findings offer a framework for further modernization of pharmaceutical education in Ukraine under global digitalization trends.
