PECULIARITIES OF IMPROVING THE PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT OF NURSE EDUCATORS OF PRESCHOOL INSTITUTIONS OF THE USSR (THE 60-70’S OF THE XX CENTURY)

Abstract

The article is devoted to highlighting the historical and pedagogical aspect of the peculiarities of professional development of nurse educators of preschool institutions of the Ukrainian SSR (the 60-70’s of the XX century).
The main events that influenced changes in the work of preschool institutions during the specified chronological period have been highlighted. The difficulties that encountered in the way of employees of preschool institutions of a new type and led to the need to retrain pedagogical workers of such institutions, namely the category of nurse educators who worked in nursery (toddler) age groups, have been noted.
It has been established that the center of management of the methodical work of nursery and preschool workers of the Ukrainian SSR was the Republican Educational and Methodical Office of Preschool Education. The main forms of professional development of nurse educators were course and seminar retraining, methodical associations, training in model preschool institutions and schools of advanced pedagogical experience, visiting circles at the pedagogical offices of model preschool institutions.
During theoretical and practical classes with the specified category of employees of preschool institutions, great attention was paid to issues of preschool pedagogy, child psychology, anatomical, physiological and psychological features of young children, issues of physical education, organization of independent activities of children, planning of work in early age groups and ensuring continuity in the work of toddler and preschool groups.
The prospects for further research lie in the study of the practical use of research materials in modern postgraduate education regarding the organization of professional development of pedagogical workers of early age groups of preschool education institutions.
