ORGANIZATIONAL AND METHODOLOGICAL WORK OF KAMIANETS-PODILSKY(SINCE 1954 KHMELNYTSKY) REGIONAL IN-SERVICE TEACHER TRAINING INSTITUTE IN THE SECOND HALF OF THE 40’S OF THE TWENTIETH CENTURY
Abstract
Based on the analysis of archival documents, the main directions of organizational and methodological work of the Institute with educational institutions in the second half of the 40s of the twentieth century are revealed.
The institute resumed work in the second half of 1944. In the summer months (July-August) seminars were held with heads of pedagogical offices, secondary school principals, primary school teachers, mathematics, physics, history of geography and others. At the same time, it develops recommendations for conducting seminars during a meeting with teachers before the start of the school year.
The work of the institute of this period was regulated by the relevant Regulations and was aimed at the professional growth of teachers. The institute operated through district pedagogical offices, bush methodological associations, an asset of the best teachers and school principals. The staff of the institute developed various forms of methodological work: conducted professional seminars, consultations, developed methodological recommendations for studying school subjects, directed the work of district pedagogical offices and methodological associations of teachers to improve the educational process.
The content of methodological recommendations (measures) necessarily focused on professional and ideological issues. In some cases, the ideological content dominated as an important component of improving pedagogical skills. The institute brought to the pedagogical community recommendations on various forms of ideological content of the educational process, self-education and political training of teachers, primarily by studying in this context "A Short Course in the History of the CPSU (b), relevant works of Marxist-Leninist classics, Communist Party resolutions and government. Scientific and practical conferences, cooperation with academic institutions, in particular the Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of the RSFSR, were revived.
An interesting form of mass methodical work was "Teacher’s Day", which was ambiguously perceived by the pedagogical community, but for a long time was conducted by the institute and district pedagogical offices.
During the study period, the institute provided methodological support for exams in primary and seven-year schools and matriculation exams.
